Old fashioned jewel - Zara, Jeff and Bean. Date of travel: Oct 2005
The Lord Milner hotel is wonderful - a real old school type of hotel with neatly dressed staff in aprons and mob caps, an old man tinkering on the piano, antique furniture and a killer buffet breakfast. We stayed in the self catering accommodation to the side of the Hotel and although we werent using the facilities, it was very well equipped, clean and neat. The Hotel has wonderful lawns, an old style bar, creaky wooden staircases and a pool 9perfect for the stifling summer heat in the Karoo!)
