I stayed in the Bay Hotel, Camps Bay, when I was in Cape Town for a confernce last month and would thoroughly recommend it. My room has sea and mountain views and I took breakfast on the balcony every morning - a great way to start the day. I found the hotel staff very helpful and polite. They organised airport transfers for R300 - but I found out that booking a taxi direct is cheaper. The rooms had all the usual: hairdryer, tv with Sky and BBC channels, mini bar, electical adapters etc. The Bay Hotel is the best located on the "strip" in Camps bay next to all the bars and restaurants and opposite the beach. Paranga was the best restaurant we ate in, though expensive by South African standards. The hotel restaurant (Tides) is also good.
