Definite Garden Route highlight - Geraldine. Date of travel: Dec 2006
My husband and I had a great stay at Heron's Gasthof - a pleasant and well-run B&B near the west Head in Knysna. The hosts (Pam and Eddy) were friendly and efficient, the room was comfortable (comfy bed and pillows) and clean, (the bathroom could have been cleaned a little more thoroughly), but the breakfast was great (cooked by the hosts). There is coffee and tea available in the room, and little touches like a hairdryer and bubble bath. There is also a nice pool, perfect after a hot drive. Definite value for money! The B&B is tucked away near the end of town and my one complaint would be that the map on the internet was not at all accurate! I had to phone Eddy after we got a bit lost! All in all, cant complain and would recommend. We found it on the net (roomsforafrica.com).
