Let's do the important stuff first. Halls Country House is a converted 100 year old farmhouse. It started life as a Natal Verandah house with verandahs on all 4 sides, that have for the most part, been "expanded into". So architecturally, it's unusual. To say the least. But it's fabulously comfortable. I'm not surprised it's a 4 star place. What makes it special? The food. The food. The food. Not "cheffy" but organic, homemade and so tastey. The little touches - the turndown service, the hot chocolate, the bed-time sweet. And the decor. And the hosts, they're lovely people.
