Glitz and Glamour - Mike and family. Date of travel: Feb 2006
The Palace of the Lost City is quite an experience - luxurious with highly unusual architecture (theres some "legend" about it being the site of a lost city and this is the "rebuilt" version - a nice little story to add to the glamour). The decor is spectacular and the rooms too - aircon, a tv, safe, minibar etc etc. Very clean and had all we needed and more!! the hotel itself ahs an incredible swimming pool, and we had some lovely light meals there, nice to not have to move too far while sunbathing! Lazy but lovely. the hotel grounds are quite something - waterfalls, creeks, palm trees - very exotic and almost surreal. Great statues etc too - feast for the eyes. Definitely a must and if you can afford to splash out, apparently the Suites are even more spectacular than the std rooms!
