Thought the Catalonia Rubens was a bit sterile. Perfectly nice clean rooms and decent bathroom. Everything seemed to work fine, but nothing excellent and not much charm about the place or the staff. The Catalonia Rubens is well situated for the airport and this is why most people stay here.

The Catalonia Rubens Hotel (3-star) was good value and a good standard for the price. The rooms are a little tired but staff are friendly, english-speaking and helpful. The location is not great; the hotel is some way to the centre of Barcelona - about 15 minutes by train, but it's perfectly pleasant and only a few minutes from Guell Park, which is a nice place for a walk. The hotel does a great continental breakfast.
