This is a super budget hotel with an excellent location near Placa Catalunya and the Ramblas with the Metro / tourist bus / airport bus stop within walking distance. All of the tourist spots are accessible on foot. The rooms are simple, clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water for showers and clean towels. Perfect as a base for exploring the city.

Barcelona is a wonderful City - Pity about the treatment by the Hotel Monegal. One room cancelled by telephone 3 days before arrival but denied by the Hotel Monegal staff who demanded payment - be warned. Room was OK
