We stayed at the Husa Avenida Palace and would recommend it as a city break hotel, primarily because of the location. It’s close to all the sights; the Gothic Quarter, Las Rambla and the harbour – all of which are with a 1 or 2 km radius. It’s also close to Passeig de Gracia – the exclusive part of town, where there’s some great shopping and restaurants. The hotel’s very classic in design –which we liked, it seemed to fit in with the city, rather than being ultra modern. At the same time it didn’t scrimp on cleanliness which was top notch.
