I found the Tryp Hotel Arenal to be fantastic value for money. The location couldn’t have been better. It’s right in the heart of things. I chose to travel to most places on foot, but there is a train station just next door to the hotel. I was most interested in seeing the Guggenheim which was a short walk, maybe 10-15 minutes away. The staff at the hotel gave me a map. My room was fine. Perfectly comfortable for 3 star accommodation. If you want plasma TV’s and walk-in showers you’ll have to go to the larger hotels and pay A LOT more! A final comment - the breakfast was delicious and really set me up for the day.
