Dutch run apartment, was clean, basic but surprisingly good overall. After reading some of the reports on here we were worried, staff were very friendly, no cockroaches contrary to some readers reports, clean beds and bedding good location just 5 mins to town.

I went to Moby Dick in June 2007. I enjoyed my stay but I wouldn't go again. The matresses were stained really badly, there was no kettle. The cooker was broke and the flames were massive. The were also cockroaches in the bedrooms. All the knives, forks, spoons and cups were filthy. I wouldn't really recommend it to anybody unless it's a short stay.

The Moby Dick is a good apartment block with nice pool area friendly bar staff but no entertainment, however the apartment we rented, number 7E, was horrendous! Stained bed linen, dirty mattress on double bed, sofa bed unable to use because it was so stained and dirty we had to buy a portable bed for our 10 year old son to sleep on, no kettle, had to boil pans for cups of tea, toilet broken had to take lid off to flush manually, fridge froze everything inside, tap in the bathroom spun around it was so loose, the washing machine would work with door open not ideal when travelling with children, the apartment was booked privately with holiday lettings and a woman called Maria. I would beware of this apartment 7E but happy with the apartment block itself hope this helps!

Not the best apartment I have been in, but certainly the friendliest. The manager & staff could not do enough. 10/10 for making you feel welcome. Even the residents there (mostly Dutch)alway say hello when meet in lift bar etc. Tour Operator: Own through internet
