Happy holiday at the Presidente Hotel - Sheila Hood. Date of travel: Jul 2009
I have just returned from a holidy to the Presidente with my husband and two children aged 5 and 11 and have nothing but praise for the hotel. It is quite old-fashioned but beautifully kept and doesn't seem to have a wild clientele. We have stayed there before and were allocated the same room as on our previous stay which was on a corner and was huge. The room was spotlessly clean although the bathroom could do with a bit of a face-lift. We were on a full-board basis and the food was always plentiful, well- cooked and there was something to suit every palate. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful. The pool area was well laid out with lots of loungers although there was a bit of a frenzied rush in the mornings to secure one but that's part of the holiday, isn't it? The only thing that would have improved our stay would have been a proper fridge in our room - we hired a fridge at €40 for 11 days but it was a mini bar and as good as useless but that is as bad as it got so all in all a great stay.
