I have just returned from a holiday in the Jalon Valley in Pueblo Lliber, I did not see any completed building works in Lliber, but I did see a unfinished monstrosity on the edge of the village. Why don't you people get in the real world and tell the truth. It's obvious that you are owners who are a bit peeved at not being able to rent you apartments because of all the construction work being done on your doorstep.

As a resident of Lliber I can agree with some of the comments regarding the Building work ( which has now been completed ) , but I must admit that on reading many of the reports from the visitors here I am quite pleased that these guys will not be returning.
Lliber is a small traditionally Spanish Rural Village where the economy relies on agriculture. If you wish to visit a Bar where there may not be cigarette ends on the floor then I suggest that you stick with Benidorm or some other pre-packaged Holiday destination that will give you an unrealistic feel for the real Spain. I am sure that you will find that you go to the Rose & Crown and drink your Barcardi Breezers and eat your Fish & Chips until your heart is content there.
When you come to the real Spain , please leave your Pre-conceptions at Immigration and try something different.

How can you state that Pueblo Lliber is a traditional Spanish village when Spanish national television made a program about 80% of residents being non-Spanish? I watched this programme in the UK. Get in the real world Buddy.

I have never been to such an abysmal place,
the Pueblo Lliber apartments are boxlike with not enough room to swing a cat. The reports of noise from adjoining apartments could not have been more correct, you can even hear the neighbours going to the loo (very inconvenient in the late hours).
If more than 2 persons stay here make sure you are really good friends.
There are only 2 bars in the village which leave a lot to be desired, they are not very clean at the best of times, cigarette ends on the floors etc, no one seems to bother with ashtrays. We spent most of our time avoiding the place and going to a lovely resort called Moraira. We certainly won't be recommending this place to anybody we know.

Pueblo Lliber : My husband and I spent a fabulous two weeks in this delightful place overlooking the vineyards with great views of the mountains and Jalon valley. It was very peaceful and I enjoyed painting. The property was clean and very well maintained. We had great walks to Jalon through the vineyards. The village of Lliber was only a 5 minute walk. My husband Peter even picked-up courage to swim in the clean and well kept swimming pool, although the water temperature was only 62F, however the outside temperature was a balmy 78F. The drive time from Alicante airport was 1 hour. Tour Operator: Independent

BEWARE
I went to urbanisation Lliber on an inspection trip, with a view to buying a property.
The first thing I noticed was a big hoarding stating that a new urbanisation was to be built next door, on further investigation I discovered to my horror that I would have been living on a building site for the next 2 to 3 years. I would not rent here let alone buy.
I tried to ask some of the residents about this and was met with "blank looks", and then asked why i wanted to know and who I was.
OWNERS TELL THE TRUTH PLEASE
Urbanisation Lliber, No Thank You.

What a boring dump, full of moaning old women who have nothing better to do with their lives, than to create trouble with youngsters enjoying themselves. Tour Operator: private

We go to Pueblo Lliber for our holidays a few times a year with our two children (aged 13 and 15) - we like it so much we bought an apartment there in the small, attractive rural complex adjacent to the pretty village of Lliber with its own large, clean pool.
We went last August (2005) and enjoyed the beautiful mountains surrounding us, the view across the vineyards from the apartment and the clean, safe beaches close by at Javea, Moraira and Denia.
I wanted to share this because I was astonished to read the negative views from other holidaymakers - I didn't recognise the place! What a shame you didn't have the wonderful holiday experience all the people staying in Pueblo Lliber have shared with us. Tour Operator: Independent
Steven Doyle, Sue Doyle + 3 Kids. Date of travel: Jul 2005
Badly maintained pool and communial areas, no pool security or privacy, unable to park due to locals using road as a public car park. The Apartments are very small and next to a main road on which motor bikes constantly race at all hours.
I'm sorry that there is nothing good to say about this "complex"?, like many people I have a holiday once a year, and expect something better than a block of council flats.
