Please don't book HOTEL DAURADA PARK with Direct Holidays or anyone else. It is a motel, for Spanish so nothing for the British holiday maker. It is in an urban area, next to the petrol station. Across the road there is a whore house, they came into the hotel. It is in a disgusting condition with dog mess everywhere, because Spanish take dogs there. It is filthy, shabby and miles from anywhere: 1hr 20mins to walk to Cambrils. Direct Holidays know all this as 50 Brits were dumped in here the same week as us, and we all complained, they did nothing. Cambrils is nice but don't go to HOTEL DAURADA PARK. This was a horrible experience - couldn't agree more with the previous comments - hotel 100% Spanish - dont like English - refuse to speak English - pool left with a lump of chlorine at bottom not filtered - glass by tennis courts - dog poo everywhere - shared the forecourt of a shell station - in hotel, sorry motel, carpark large tankers on main Barcelona road, traffic congestion 24/7, 20 mins walk to beach, 1hr20 to walk to Cambrils but Direct holidays sold it as IN Cambrills - rep said 20min walk - yes, by paula radcliffe on a good day - evey person asked to be moved and was refused - no English entertainment- all Spanish: Spanish karaoke is not for the fainthearted - Direct holidays used us all as guinea pigs. We were there for 2 weeks, on the last day the guests were transfered to a beautiful hotel\4* in Dalou but we had to stomach it for 14 days and nights - it was 10euro to Cambrills 20euro to Salou each way, buses too unreliable to use. I reported faulty handles on my balcony door, locked there for 30mins, next time for 45mins: the management had to break door down. Direct holidays knew of problem but nothing done. A bench snapped as a guest sat on it, it was dangerous: it remained out for use for 4 days. Direct holidays say it is 3* - guess he can't count correctly - it is a MOTEL at a stopover for drivers who aren't too fussed, not for hardworking Brits spending £1500 for a well deserved break. I feel cheated - used and like I have been taken for a mug. DO NOT GO HERE NOT EVEN FOR £100. DIRECT HOLIDAYS CHEATED US ALL. Thankyou for your site and the opportunity to tell others.
