We are owners of a house on the complex but do not rent ours out. I would recommend anyone coming to stay here, the houses are well equipped and maintained. The gardens are kept extremely tidy, the only down side is when the holiday makers leave their beds unstacked on an evening. The spate of break-ins are the aftermath of the recession and are no different to the UK. Just make sure you treat the house security the same as you would back home. There is so much to do in Caleta, great restaurants, great beach and nice shops. Come along and see for yourselves.

We have stayed in the Amuley mar 1 complex many times before and always really enjoyed it. The complex is safe, secure and friendly. The apartments are very nice and spacious. It's a 5 minute walk from the town and some splendid restaurants and the beach. We would recommend the complex to anyone going to Fuerteventura.

Just returned from a fantastic 2 weeks on Amuley. The complex and house were both spotless, really good location but peaceful as well, could not fault it and have rebooked for next year, many of the houses had their owners there and the atmosphere was great, all round excellent.

These apartments are targeted by burglars. One property was broken into and the burglar was spotted and ran to the top of the property, smashed the window and jumped out. He fell over 30 feet onto the concrete, got up but was caught at the Hospital. This happened at the start of our holiday and the local residents said that attempted breakins were quite common - so lock up well!!

Stayed in the Amuley Mar Apartments complex this May due to its central location, as opposed to the Campo De Golf (El Vergal & La Colina areas) where we have stayed twice before. I would not recommend Amuley Mar Apartments to an enemy. Upon arrival we were immediately warned not to leave any windows open, even at night due to a recent spate of burglaries on the complex. Most of the owner/occupiers (who incidentally have for sale signs up) seem to take a dim view of visitors. In our case the on site 'management team' (term used very loosely) left a lot to be desired and full of self importance and little else. During our stay 2 of the ceiling fans failed, upon return to UK the owners refused to refund the deposit and only returned it after I sought legal advice (from reports on this and other review sites this seems quite common practice on this complex). Property we stayed in was very small compared to what we are used to and really quite dark inside. Do yourself a favour - go to the golf area. Although further out, have a half hour minimum stroll to the centre of Caleta, order a taxi or if near Elba golf hotel jump on the free bus and relax. Golf area has regular security travelling round the complex. I would not stay in Amuley Mar Apartments if it was a freebie. You have been warned.

Ignorant residents at the complex, electricity failed 3 times the first day, unable to use downstairs shower due to electrical equipment being submersed in water! The property owner tried to blame us for this, but obviously it was the previous rental occupants. Next door to our "house" was a resident who decided to start LOUD building work at 8am, when my husband asked him politely how long the noise was going to continue for he got aggresive and slammed the door in his face! The roads around and leading to the property are in an unsafe and unfinished state, basically full of big bricks and stones. Also the communal pool was out of use for 2 days due to the water turning a dubious shade of green!! On our return to England my husband had to negotiate with the property owner for our refundable deposit of £150 as he was trying to lay the blame on us for his neglect. Beware of this complex.

The property (Amuley Mar) was in an excellent location and offered everything that was needed for an enjoyable holiday. The furnishings were very modern and the house was exceptionally clean and well provided. We enjoyed our time at the house and would love to return again. A++++++
