I've just returned from Barcelo Club El Castillo and it was amazing. The place was beautiful, some people have said how horrible the apartments were but I didn't see any problem with them they were very spacious and clean. I stayed in the apartments looking over the sea which was lovely. The staff were very friendly although the bar staff can be a bit rude and ignore you at times, the entertainment was great for the kids with shows every night. The entertainers were very young but they were very good with the children, especially 'Kiarah' she was very friendly. I can't wait to return here best holiday I've had so far.

Well what can I say and were do I start. My mum and I have just arrived back from here. On arrival we were given a room overlooking a courtyard with building repair work taking place. I headed off to change our room. Fine they changed the room but to one with a double bed, back to reception another change. Great we got in and unpacked went out for our evening and back to bed. The following morning we went out but when we arrived back all the electricity had cut out. At reception we were offered candles and a box of safety matches which did not work. By this time it was going dark, they informed us that the electicity would definitely be back on the next day. We were then given another room to stay in that night. Off we went to the room. It had been raining in the resort so as we walked to the new room we had to wade through5 inches deep of water. I got into the room the next thing my mum had fallen and banged her head. I telephoned reception who sent someone who looked like a cat burgular to our room. He was unable to understand us. So I decided to go to reception myself. Bang I slipped in the water and dislocated my shoulder. I reported all this to the rep, Pavlo, or something the following morning who was sorry but insisted on patting my already very sore shoulder. I decided to have nothing more to do with reception. I would not and repeat not stay here, if you want somewhere good to stay go to the Barcelo Fuerteventura which looked the business. Stayed in one of the bungalows overlooking the sea. A lot of the apartments and a pool are closed for renovation. For the first time, we went all-inclusive, when we arrived and it was handy but not wonderful. Great if you have children. One pool was so noisy with children but there is another which is lovely - near the harbour end. Staff friendly. You can use the facilities of the Barcelo 4* hotel, too. The entertainment was spoilt by children running everywhere and taking over. The place where it was held was very bare and unattractive. Tour Operator: FLIGHTLINE/GO2SPAIN
