The Villas Oasis Papagayo Apartments are a great option for families. Our children loved the kids club during the day, and the creche at night (which we used twice) only cost 3EUROs. Rooms were comfy, clean and had good air-con. Corralejo has a huge choice of restaurants and there are some affordable options for those on a budget. Baku water park nearby is a real hit with the kids (and big kids!)

Oasis Papagayo is a lovely place if you got kids and want to occupy them all day, you got the choice of five pools. As for me, well there's only me and her indoors so we wanted a bit more from our holiday, not being stuck 2 miles in the middle of virtually nowhere. Thompson's seem to be dropping all allocation on arrivals at the Papagayo as when we came back on 22nd march 2006 they needed two buses to take us all to the airport. Apart from that, Corallejo is a lovely place although it's getting damned expensive now, but yes I'd go back there again. The pub and nightlife in the town is very good. Tour Operator: Thompsons

A very large complex ideal for families, the Oasis Papagayo has 5 pools, 3 restaurants and 2 snack/pool bars. It has good kids clubs and organised entertainment on site. The standard of cleanliness is good with both the apartments and the grounds being kept clean regualrly. The famous water park (baku centre) is now open opposite the complex but didn't seem very busy, but they have a bowling alley and other things there to do. The supermarket on site is quite expensive and they do charge supplements on site for anyhting they can get away with (the telly is about 30 quid for a fortnight). The hotel is a 15-20 minute walk down a slight incline from the centre of the resort but a taxi will only cost you 2 pounds. All in all this is a nice place and I would recommend it as long as you don't mind being out of the centre. Tour Operator: Thomson

If you are looking for bars, supermarkets and restaurants then Corralejo could be just the place for you. Plenty of beaches and very windy (ideal for windsurfing). For me the resort seemed so completely focused on mass tourism and bucket and spade holidays that any charm or charisma the resort may have ahd has long since departed. If you just want sun, beer and fish and chips then I'm sure you'll have a great time. If you do go, try the blue jeans steak house, just off the main road, its class!! Tour Operator: Thomson
Oasis Papagayo - John. Date of travel: Jul 2004
I went on holiday expecting a brilliant destination and accomodation. The place was instead one big building site. I swear I have seen more attractive construction sites. The Oasis Papagayo hotel was packed full of cockroaches and was the most revoltingly dirty thing I have ever seen in my life. Little pointer for people who want to go there if you are not gay then dont bother as thats the main scene.
