We spent a week at the Balito Beach Apartments for our holiday. It's located on a hill which means great views but you have to be pretty fit! Maybe not ideal for young kids or older people since there are lots of steps - 60 to get to the pool! The hotel is a cheap base if you want to get out and explore the island, if you want to be based at your hotel maybe shell out extra to stay at a four of five star place. Food isnt great but it's edible, we pretty much ate out. A cheap and cheerful holiday.
