The Cala d'Or Apartments were lovely and clean. The best thing about Cala d'Or was the bar staff,
Carlos and Juanito. They were really friendly.

I would like to write on behalf of myself & my family, Vicky, Steve, Nathan and Daniel what a great holiday we had. It was fantastic from the minute we arrived right up to us leaving. The entertainment, Dave was brilliant, he was funny and especially good to the kids. The apartments were clean and modern and had all the extras we needed, kettle, toaster, microwave etc at no extra cost - excellent!
Thomson were brilliant, the rep (Danny) was on sight when he said he was going to be, and was so friendly and approachable and very helpful.
Thanks to everyone who helped make our holiday a happy one!

Although the Cala d'Or apartments did seem small at first, would be lost with anything bigger... perfect for a family of 4, 2 on the sofa and 2 in the bedroom. Although no air conditioning you could hire fans out at a cheap price and sometimes its better (nice to get wind blowin on you while asleep). Very friendly and approachable staff, always with a smile on their faces. Security was good too.

Just arrived home yesterday (13th) and have to say best holiday me and my friends have ever had.. stayed in Puerto Rico 1999 but Cala d'or really made it that much better this time.. hotel staff really friendly, rooms clean with excellent maid service and good atmosphere all round. This was the second time we stayed in Peurto Rico but the first for these apartments and I can honestly say that next time we visit we will definitely be returning to the Cala D'or. The apartments were very clean with maid service 5 times a week. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and the bar area fantastic for light lunches. There are many steps down to the shopping centre (186 at last count) but it only takes about 5 minutes to get down. We used to get a taxi back up and for 2 euro you really cant go wrong. The shopping there was very limited with just your basics on offer but there was plenty of choice down in the resort centre and all at a reasonable price. The entertainment sounded pretty good with something going on every night but being young, we tended to be out in the centre every night rather than staying in the complex. We really cannot wait to go back to these apartments next year!!!!!! Tour Operator: Thompson

Absolutely fantastic holiday. I travelled here with my husband and 2 year old son and had a time of our lives. All I can say is thank you to Dave the entertainer who deserves a medal. His patience was never ending with the children and he also got adults involved with the entertainment. he is nothing but an asset to the Cala D'or and if I was to return it would only be if Dave was there. My husband Jason experienced being hypnotised and that was also a brilliant night. We never went out of the resort as it had everything we needed. Thank you all for helping us to enjoy our holiday. Great apartments, clean, tidy basically immaculate, one cockroach that we soon scared away!! The bar staff are fantastic and me and my family think these people are what makes the hotel as good as it is. So friendly and even they dont speak alot of English they make us laugh! Entertainment is nothing to write home about, been before when Andy was there and he was fantastic, got everyone involved and done different things all the time. Dave could put alot more into it by just using a bit of imagination, all he seemed to do was moan about the kids!! The steps leading to the apartment add to the fun, great laugh trying to get up them! Resort has everything to offer. My 15 yr old daughter wants to add Juanito is barman!!!! Tour Operator: thomson

I have been on holiday to Gran Canaria a number of times, (around 9 times) & always been to Puerto Rico. I would honestly have to say that this is the best hotel I have stayed at. Although the hotel was a little small, this did help in getting to know other holiday makers there easier. The hotel was always clean & Tidy, with bedding changed & fresh towels provided evey other day. DAVE the entertainer was fantastic, a real genuine & funny guy. He got everyone involved in day activities like waterpolo & killer pool He was brilliant with the kids & at keeping them all well behaved. There was a kids disco most nights which was fun to watch & all the children enjoyed. He also provided nightly entertainment for the adults like quizzes, bingo & kareoke before the nightly shows. Entertainment was usually finished by 12AM & then you could either choose to go to bed or go into town for the night life. I would definetly stay at this hotel again, although I do strongly think that without Dave the entertainer there this hotel would not be quite as enjoyable. DAVE made the holiday for us really. I hope the hotel knows what a great asset they have. Thanks Dave! Hopefully we will see you again in the near future. x x x x x x x P.S Definitely go to see the Drag Show in Peurto Rico town center. The apartments are good but be warned there are hundreds of steps to climb up and down to the road. The maid service was good, and the views fantastic. The place is noisy though with music blasting until the early hours, which means it is not a good place to get children to sleep. Must pay tribute to the restaurant staff, though, who were very child friendly and gave my little boy a great time! The place is well situated and its not far to get to the shops and pubs. There are two beaches close by. Overall we had a good holiday, but nothing outstanding and don’t think we will rush to return.
