We stayed at the Montebello Apartments in Puerto Rico and had a good stay, it is well-equipped though basic. Our only complaint was that it took a long time for us to get our rooms cleaned and we had to ask a few times for fresh towels etc. Understandably self catering tends to have less on offer than hotels, but one does expect a clean room (in terms of linen etc that is supposed to be provided). We had a great time in the area though and did lots of fun things - my boyfriend went jetskiing and we had some crazy mini golf games with some mates we made over there. We got a bit sick of being hassled by all the resturants etc trying to get us to come in but if you just ignore them and walk past, they tend to leave you alone. We didnt mind the walks (Montebello is on a hill, like alot of the places around) and when we did take a taxi after a fwe too many the one night, we were really pleasantly surprised to find it didnt cost that much at all. Great holiday all in all, loads of fun and we'd recommend the Montebello for sure. Tour Operator: own
