A major refurbishment has been completed. The Sol Lanzarote Hotel is a fantastic place to go for a family holiday. The best apartments look over the pool and beach and are built in a semi circle. These all seem to be self catering apartments, with the half board rooms looking out of the hotel, or with views over other accomodation blocks. The 3 pools are great. The heated one is very deep, I am 6ft and couldn't touch the bottom anywhere in it without going underwater. There are a multitude of sunbeds around the pools, but by 10am most have been 'reserved' with towels hanging from them. The beach is 20ft from the hotel, literally. There are shops, restaurants and bars 5 mins in either direction walking along the beach prom. Planes can be seen and heard landing and taking off, but they do not cause any annoyance. Indeed the kids liked watching them! Tip: don't go on the transfer bus, get a taxi, it costs less than €10 and you beat the other arrival guests! The kids mini club was running twice a day, the kids couldn't wait to go so it must have been well run. Evening events were OK, didn't go much. Kids always too tired. Overall an ideal place for a family holiday, quick transfer, modern comfy hotel, sun sun sun, and all facilities on your doorstep. Good luck and have fun. We will be back.
