A fantastic time!
Hotel Sun Beach is a lovely hotel with 2 big pools (which are cold but you get used to it and who would want a hot pool when it is so hot outside?) which me and my partner enjoyed every day. The onsite supermarket is small but there are Netto supermarkets everywhere so there is no trouble buying the foods you like. The receptionists are fantastic: I practiced my Spanish with them and they literally gave us every map and leaflet they had to help out. I ate in the cafeteria about 5 times and not once was my food cold; it was fairly cheap and the service was quite quick as well. The hotel bars were lovely and ran by a hilarious man called Tom who is one of a kind! They have a fair amount of activities such as volleyball but they only run from around 10-3. Nightime entertainment varies as there is a lot of karaoke, but there was a fantastic variety show, a contortionist and a karaoke session which had quizzes etc which was good fun. The Thomas Cook party night was alright as well. The apartments are fairly big and clean with slightly outdated decor (but that's not exactly a problem). The bathroom is nice with the most powerful shower I have ever been in! The kitchen facilities are very good: you get 2 hobs, saucepans, microwave which has an oven setting, kettle, blender etc. The TV has 2 English channels (Eurosport and CNN) so there is something to relax to if you like your TV. You either have a little patio garden or a balcony: we had a patio garden which was lovely to sunbathe in. We rented a safe and you can rent a fan, but our room was nice and cool at night (air conditioning is however being installed at the moment). The Sun Beach Aparthotel is a lovely place to stay which is in a good location. As we left my partner commented that for a 3 star it is an outstanding place to stay and I agree.

Where do I start!! The Sun Beach apartments were fabulous..they're rated low enough but the standard is impeccable. 2 pools and jacuzzi and only 5-7 minute walk to the beach and promenade. We had a brilliant time in Playa Blanca.

The Sun Beach aparthotel could do with some refurbishment. A lot of the fixtures and fittings in the apartments required renewing and the fridge was broken. The apartments themselves are a good size and well equipped. Also 2 good sized swimming pools here and a small mini market on site. The bar needs closing down and modernising. It is dark and dingy, completely lacks atmosphere and very rarely had many people in it. Overall the Sun Beach Apartments needs to spend some money on updating to restore it to its former glory. Entertainment low key and reception staff very helpful. Tour Operator: Thomas Cook

This is our third visit to the Sun Beach apartments and it was a real disappointment. Apparently the Thomas Cook representative said it was under new management and it showed. It has gone downhill like a stone. The worrying aspect was the spate of thefts from the apartments which nobody seemed to worried about. It appears that someone has got hold of spare keys which was not very comforting. Other standards have declined rapidly and sadly we will think long and hard before considering returning to this accommodation for a 4th time. Tour Operator: Thomas Cook

The Sun Beach apartments are in a good location about a 15 minute stroll to the centre, the beach is nearer. The apartments are a good and there are 2 swimming pools here. however in our opinion there are overdue a makeover. Some equipment is well past its best. The freezer compartment door was missing and the bottle holder broken. The towels were frayed and the curtains did not hang properly. A small supermarket on site and bar that never has any one in it, except when they have the junior disco. Best avoided unless they are your children!! Tour Operator: Thomas Cook
