Where do I start!! The Sun Beach apartments were fabulous..they're rated low enough but the standard is impeccable. 2 pools and jacuzzi and only 5-7 minute walk to the beach and promenade. We had a brilliant time in Playa Blanca.

The Sun Beach aparthotel could do with some refurbishment. A lot of the fixtures and fittings in the apartments required renewing and the fridge was broken. The apartments themselves are a good size and well equipped. Also 2 good sized swimming pools here and a small mini market on site. The bar needs closing down and modernising. It is dark and dingy, completely lacks atmosphere and very rarely had many people in it. Overall the Sun Beach Apartments needs to spend some money on updating to restore it to its former glory. This is our third visit to the Sun Beach apartments and it was a real disappointment. Apparently the Thomas Cook representative said it was under new management and it showed. It has gone downhill like a stone. The worrying aspect was the spate of thefts from the apartments which nobody seemed to worried about. It appears that someone has got hold of spare keys which was not very comforting. Other standards have declined rapidly and sadly we will think long and hard before considering returning to this accommodation for a 4th time. Tour Operator: Thomas Cook

The Sun Beach apartments are in a good location about a 15 minute stroll to the centre, the beach is nearer. The apartments are a good and there are 2 swimming pools here. however in our opinion there are overdue a makeover. Some equipment is well past its best. The freezer compartment door was missing and the bottle holder broken. The towels were frayed and the curtains did not hang properly. A small supermarket on site and bar that never has any one in it, except when they have the junior disco. Best avoided unless they are your children!! Tour Operator: Thomas Cook
