A bit cack and full of Italians but we only used it to sleep in 3-4 hours a day and to lounge by the pool with a massive hangover.

Don Juan, San Antonio, Ibiza! This hostel is right in the worst end (west end) as soon as we arrived at the place we could tell it was going to be awful! The reception area which is very small was filthy and full of drunk people! The rooms are unsafe, the doors didn't lock properly, there were holes in the doors and walls, the balcony door was smashed and taped up with brown tape, no air con or safety deposit boxes, loads of stairs and no lifts, I could go on and on! When we arrived we put our cases in and went out till 6am had a 2 hour kip before finding somewhere else! This place is hell and absolutely diabolical! Stay well clear!

The Don Juan hotel is situated right on the west end strip above the 70, 80, 90s bar. It is noisy but we didn't really notice because we was out most of the night anyway! Right, the hotel itself, the room was basically a 2 man room with 3 beds in it, so most of the floor was bed space!! The balcony was ok with 2 plastic chairs on it, but the door to the balcony barely secure, with thin glass doors that rattled to the bass from the clubs below ha ha!! The bathroom again not a chance of swinging any cats in here! As for the shower it was rubbish when it did work, which wasn't often, you had to time it right to get enough water!!! Oh and the water only came out super hot!! Only one light bulb in the whole room worked and it took 3 days to replace the bathroom light bulb! The room had some random furniture around with the odd drawer, other than that there was one wardrobe! The room was cleaned once in the week we was there, The maids seemed freindly and nothing was stolen, bonus!!!! Air con was a €30 deposit for the remote which was well worth it, easilly the best feature of the room!!! There are safety deposit boxes in the room but when I tried to obtain one, I was told there wasn't any keys and I'd have to wait over a week for one, yeah cheers for that!!! What else, just 1 key per room, and most mornings there would be sick at the bottom of the stairs where people have stumbled in from the west end looking for somewhere to be sick!!! But if you're looking for a cheap room in the thick of it this place is for you!!

I'd read really bad reviews about the Don Juan Hotel before I went, to the point I was actually dreading my holiday, but it turned out to be the best holiday I've ever been on so dont be put off by the "Dodgy Juan" as it was not so affectionitely known! The room was quite small but big enough for me and my sister. It was cleaned everyday and the cleaners were pleasant. The receptionists were very friendly. However, the walls are made of paper. Dont get me wrong, I'm not against people partying til the early hours of the morning, I was doing it too! But when our roudy neighbours came home at 9am we heard EVERYTHING. Also, we didn't feel very secure cos there was no lock on the door so we barrackaded ourselves in everynight by putting tables against the door! The food was rotten but we only chose to stay half board cos it was cheaper than the self catering appartments and we never intended to eat in it every night anyway. The breakfasts were fine though. We got a bit scared on our last night as when we were walking home at 3am there were 2 girls fighting right outside the doors to the hotel and throwing glass bottles around. Maybe this is normal for the high summer months, but other than that incident there was no more fights that i knew of. I dont think the hotel was full when we went. The other thing I'll say about it is the location. Its near the beach but if u wanna go to the strip its a good 10/15 minute walk and when ur walking home in the dark at 3am with random drunks stumbling outa bars it can feel a little intimidating. If it was a more central location there would've been more people around. But all in all I loved my holiday and wasn't put off by the (very) basic hotel. I personally wouldn't stay again but it was a last minute cheapie and was fine for all the time we spent in it. It doesn't promise anything special in the brochure, so u get exactly what ur expecting. Tour Operator: Panorama

We had a great holiday here, the food on our first week was very good but on our second week it all went bad, the spannish tourists arrived from mainland spain and the hotel made everything for them, we the british were shunned by them, they completely took over the hotel, all entertainment was all in spannish nothing in english, food was that bad we ended up going out to eat even though we were on half board, breakfasts were ok but the times were altered without prior notice so you had to be up half an hour earlier, the area was very good we enjoyed the walks and the beaches, boat cruise is reccomended, visting palma for a day out also, the palma market on saturdays is not upto much but its good for a laugh, walking through the narrow streets there is great just to see the old buildings its a sight worth seeing. Overall our holiday in magalluf was fantastic well worth the money Tour Operator: Panorama

Hotel Don Juan was ok. The food was fine and got a good selection of hot and cold. The rooms were a bit basic but how long do you spend in your room on holiday anyway?! It gets a bit rowdy when the lads are shouting abuse to each other over the balconies when they are getting ready to go out, but it didn't affect me so not really that bothered. Would go back to Magalluf but stay in a different hotel. Tour Operator: Aspro

From reading this I thought Don Juan was going to be dreadful, but it was ok. The room was nice; the showers were really nice. If you need a cheap hotel this is the place to go. But the only things girls, I can say, yes, the hotel rep Paul did try it on with two of my mates, and got lucky with one; he played her so don't trust him. I would go back to this hotel but will have to be with another mate beacuse she won't go back beacuse he might be there. Tour Operator: Aspro

The room was soooooo small; I could smell sewage in the room and the celling fell down outside the room. The plugs were hanging off. The cleaners didn't even clean the room. They need a receptionist that can speak English, more telephones in the hotel. The food was ok but not up to my standard. The waiters were moody. I hated the place! The pool area was very untidy. NO entertainment on. The reps were ok but one of them just wanted to get into all the girls underwear. Well that's basically all I need to say! Tour Operator: Aspro
