We booked to stay at the Martinique because it was the cheapest package we could find - £325 pp for a week in Magalluf starting 28th June!! Just before going I had a quick look at some of the reviews and began to dread going, however when I got there the hotel far exceeded my expectations! The lobby was large and welcoming with various comfy (but old) sofas for sitting in, a games console and an Internet ready computer. The reception staff were always helpful and friendly and our Thomas Cook reps - Fozzy and Miles were great. Our room was very large and clean and although the mattresses could do with being replaced there wasn't much else wrong with the room. Beware if you are going self-catering and want to cook in the apartments - there is only 2 hobs with no grill/oven etc although there is plenty of cutlery/pans/plates etc. The balcony in the apartments was also very large and went straight from the bedroom to the living area. The pool was huge and was lovely and cool on a HOT sunny day. We where there in the busy season but could always get a sunbed when we wanted - none of this getting up at 8am to put beach towels down malarky! We didn't use the bar but did peek in and it seemed to be alright with various 'discotech' entertainments on in the evening. The Martinique is about a 10 minute walk away from the main strip and 5 minutes from the beach. It is literally just around the corner from Pirates and about a slow 15 minute walk to Western Water Park/Aqualand - so very handy for everywhere and everyone really! The maids came every other day and changed towels and bed linen, however the reception staff were more than happy to get the maids to bring fresh towels/toilet roll when asked :-)
Watch out for the night security man - he seemed a wee bit pervy and doesn't really like the drunken lads! The hotel is aimed at young people so can get really noisy at night with people partying in the rooms/balconies or people coming and going to the nightclubs so I would NOT recommend it to anyone with a young family! Please go to Palma Nova if you have a family, its literally a 10 minute walk from Magalluf but much more aimed at families than PARTIES! I would definitely go back to the Martinique!

Went to Magalluf in April for the weekend with my best mate. Been there 6 times before and booked up again for August. Had another wicked holiday out there, but it rained like crazy. Spent most of our time in Crystals. Bananas was the only club open late so we went there afterwards but because it was the only club open late it got packed which meant it felt like the summer being there. Can't wait to get back out there again and if you aint ever been to Magalluf, you are totally missing out! You have gotta go. HM Martinique was near Pirates but because it rained so much it was a mission to the clubs.

The HM Martinique hotel is a bit noisy but nicely done out and handy for the centre of Magalluf. Weather fantastic for time of year, we were there in October. Went to the Green Parrot to listen to DJ Gobshite!! Hilarious but not for the faint hearted!!! Another good place to go is the Piano bar, the waiters are really funny in there. Plenty to do in Magalluf and plenty of places to choose from to eat. There is a very good Chinese restaurant near the hotel and worth a special mention is the British chip shop near the Green Parrot, the food is excellent, even better than our chippy back home and its open all night until 6 in the morning! Handy!Lovely fresh chips, massive fish and pukka pies very tasty. We ended up going there nearly every night and sometimes during the day. Its English owned and is run by the owner and her son. We tried other places like the kebab shop near Manos but to be honest the food there was terrible so we kept on going back to the chippy. If you want a decent cheap breakfast try the local bar this is also a good place to start your night out with good music cheap drinks. Warning: near the local bar is a bar called Two Flowers who advertise cheap English breakfast the food is disgusting and the staff are very aggressive and cant speak much English when we complained about our food not being English and horrible the woman got really nasty and a fat bald bloke came in and told us to pay and get out!!! DONT GO THERE!!!! Overall Magalluf is a great place we will definitely be back March 2007

I booked a holiday to stay at the Martinique in Oct '06. I was a bit concerned as I had heard of the reputation although it was out of the main season I was taking my 8-year-old daughter with me.
I had nothing to worry about, the staff where very helpful and although there was a lot of youngsters there no trouble was had with noise, etc. The rooms are very spacious and clean.
It was very central to what we needed and I would recommend the Green Parrot bar with DJ Borogobshite and the bash. He is very funny. Be warned it is not for the faint hearted. My daughter loved the Green Parrot and got on very well with the staff. You have to be opened minded in this day and age. Overall excellent.

The HM Martinique was full of young adults, as the resort is full of bars and clubs it is mint. It was the best holiday ever as everyone is so friendly. I can't wait to go back. The swimming pool in the HM Martinique is warm all day. And there are Spanish boys abou 14 -15-16 who use the pool and they are just the best lads we've ever met. Tour Operator: Thomas Cook

Thoroughly recommend Magalluf as a clean resort with great daytime and nightlife choices near and around you, Western Park or Marineland close by or taxi to Marineland from Magalluf only about 7 euros between you.
Night-time choice of bars, everyone has their favourites - have to say ours were Manos, Bamboo Club, Bora Bora and City lights, clubs definately BCM - good value for money with 22 euros entrance free bar - t-shirt - towel - watch and glowstick. Tour Operator: Bestway2mallorca.com

Hotel was sound. Great pool to sit round, play music by the pool all day. Place to play footy, tennis etc. Shop right on the corner and a 5 min walk away from the strip. Not too far away yet far enough so you dont get all the noise of the roads. Tour Operator: Easy Jet

I stayed in this hotel with 24 of my mates and 3 of the rooms got broken into... the trees on the side were full of clothes, etc that previous holiday makers had thrown off their balcony.
