La Pinta Aparthotel, Costa Adeje
Incredibly located directly on the beachfront, La Pinta Aparthotel is just minutes from the resort center, and has excellent access to nearby attractions such as bars, restaurants and shops. The Costa Adeje golf course is also a stone's throw away from the hotel, and the hotel itself offers great recreation facilities for those seeking amore

Four of us stayed at La Pinta Aparthotel for 8 nights in January. It was OK for us since we didn't have kids, but if we had I doubt they would have been able to sleep! It got very loud in the evening. Staff weren't exactly a laugh a minute and could be quite unhelpful. Food was not bad, although there are so many places to eat out nearby we didn't have more than two or three meals at the hotel during our stay. Glad we didn't pay more than we did for our stay. It was adequate. Just.

I booked directly with the La Pinta hotel after fruitlessly searching various websites for accommodation there. They all stated that the hotel was fully booked, so if you particularly want this hotel and get the same result, try calling. Although not initially expecting much due to its proximity to Las Americas I was pleasantly surprised. I booked for myself and my two children on a half board basis. We arrived at the hotel after a 15 minute taxi ride from the airport costing 24 euros and were met at reception by friendly and accomodating staff who spoke good English, albeit the majority of residents appeared to be German and Scandinavian. The apartment consisted of a large bathroom with bath/shower, small but sufficient kitchen, large lounge with eating area, double sofa bed and a large bedroom with two single beds. There was plenty of storage space, very efficient air conditioning and the whole appartment was very clean. My particular apartment had a double terrace which does not appear to be the case for all. It was room 105 and afforded a view over the swimming pool and out to sea. Being on the first floor, the reception being on the fourth, it was close to everything. It is a large hotel and some rooms are quite a hike from the "hub" of things. The pool area had recentley been remodelled and the sunbeds were locked up until 9am so as not to be draped with towels at 7am by over eager Germans. I didn't personally have any problems with getting beds because the beach, which is down a small flight of stairs from the pool and across a pedestrian promenade, was preferable for both myself and the kids. This setup meant I was quite happy for the kids to wander up and down to the hotel as they pleased. Although I did note that the pool area was never crowded. Also in the pool area was a small restaurant seperate to the main hotel serving snacks, drinks and operating a buffet service. The prices here were very reasonable with a toasted sandwhich together with a platefull of chips and salad costing less than three euros. Another handy feature of the hotel is that if you are booked half board you are able to change the evening meal for a lunch time buffet at no extra cost. The hotel restaurant itself, where we took breakfast and evening meals, was again clean, friendly and with a good standard and choice of food. Both meals consisted of hot and cold buffets. If you decide to eat out the choice is yours as regards variety and price. The buffets at the Chinese restaurant referred to in other reviews is still going, in fact there are now two. Go out of the hotel at the main entrance, turn left and they are about 50 metres away on your right. The cost at each is under 4 euros and half price for kids. There are plenty of supermarkets and shops nearby to stock up from. Out of the main entrance to the right and on the opposite side of the road is a small shop called Alldays, run by an English lady and catering for British products. The area is lively in respect of nightime entertainment, but don't worry, all ther loud stuff winds down between 11.30pm and midnight. All in all, an excellent hotel in a nice area.
