I've just got back from Playa Azul Apartments in September 2009. I spent 2 weeks there and was quite pleased after reading the bad reviews before I went. I wouldn't recommend older people to go. Our room was on Row Z, there were 80 steps to climb before we got to our apartment! Cleaning staff brilliant, they were in every day. Pool excellent, barring flies all day. Plenty of bars in area. If you want quiet time don't go near Linkers with music playing till daft o'clock, not that it bothered us cause we were still out on drink. I've been to Tenerife 3 times now, it was the only place with NO COCKROACHES which was great. I would go back definitely!!!!

Just got back from a week's holiday at Playa Azul Apartments. After reading a lot of bad reviews about these apartments we were surprised to find a clean and well run establishment. The rooms were very basic and cleaned regularly, close to all bars and clubs, very central to all amenities. We would definitely stay there again...Jenny and Paddy (England)

The Playa Azul Apartments were a death trap, me and 7 mates stayed here between 18th July 2008 till 1st of August. On the first proper night our apartments were robbed while we slept, the receptionist was very unhelpful, all she had to say was "oh it happens all the time." Also we were robbed again on the second to last day, but this time they didn't steal anything, they just decided to turn the place over, all the receptionist had to say this time was "oh no", and asked us to leave the apartments where we then had to sleep in the airport and wait 2 days for our flight back. All in all these apartments are too scary to stay in, if you ever book a holiday at these apartments make sure you don't stay in room 101y or 102y or you will be the target of robbery. If you are very unfortunate to be given these rooms make sure you get a safety deposit box as soon as you get there and then make sure your key is kept on you as ours was also stolen.
