We loved this hotel because of it's location to a variety of restaurants and bars and because the rooms are so spacious. We had a super seaview from our balcony. The pool is a nice place to relax, the beach is nice too but very popular so it's an idea to head down there early on in the day. Extensive choice for breakfast, hot and cold food, cereals and fruit. Overall - very impressed.

We recently visited Cleopatra Palace in Play De Las Americas and were disappointed. The hotel was described as 5 star in the brochure but it was only 3/4 star by UK standards anyway. We started our stay in a room overlooking the car park, but after some harassing got moved to one with a sea room. Although the rooms weren't exceptional, the main hotel lobby was lovely with a pianist in the evenings. The pool area was also lovely and the location was very good, and near lots of shops and restaurants - much cheaper and better to eat out. I loved our holiday to Playa de las Americas, but wouldnt choose the Cleopatra Palace again as its expensive for what you get.
