Stayed for two nights while passing through Dar. Refurbished a few years ago, so hotel is quite modern. Just had a standard double room, but was impressed--flatscreen TV, Internet connection (if you bring your laptop--otherwise, hotel has a business centre), spacious new bathroom. Staff was excellent--friendly and professional. Had problem with my reservation, and front desk staff worked hard to resolve it. Pool small but looks out over harbour, great view, quite relaxing. Rooftop bar had nice vibe, live music but not too loud. Oriental restaurant had outstanding food but badly lacked atmosphere. Minor glitches: ATM broken, automated wakeup call service consistently one hour early. Overall, great stay (though perhaps not quite worth full price, about US$300 for basic room, but there were many discounts online).
