My partner and I went to Iberostar Averroes in June 2007. We had a fab time the hotel was excellent, all the staff were fantastic, they go out of their way to help you. The swimming pools were lovely, a bit slippery around the edges. We found the food spot on, especially the desserts, not much enterainment evenings, the shops are situated right across the road from the hotel! The marina is about 20min walk from hotel or you could catch the mini train up or horse and cart, the medina is about 10-15 min walk. The rooms are kept very clean, we had a seaview which we upgraded when we arrived. In the restaurant you are allocated a table which is yours for your time of stay!!! You get your own waiter, ours was Karmel, he was great. All the staff are fantastic they love the English and speak quite good English too. My partner and I are definitely going back to Tunisia and the Iberostar Averroes, can't wait. Take plenty of mosquito stuff with you as they do tend to get you :) I give this hotel 9/10.
