The Thalassa Village has to be the best resort in Skanes. First rate food, plenty of things to do, friendly, courteous staff. Ideal for families with children, couples, or friends. Only one thing to remember, take a travel kettle as they are not supplied in the rooms, and take your own teabags as the English tea bags do tend to run out. Great choice of food, but lacking in English breakfast so we made do with scrambled egg on toast, but apart from that the food quality and quantity was extremely good. All the staff speak very good English and love English people. We were two women holidaying alone and felt very safe and secure. We will definately go to Tunisia again and stay in the same hotel. Shopping in Sousse was a little scary, but once you learn to be firm and say not interested it's fine (but you must be firm). The animation team that are responsible for the entertainment were first class, and worked so hard to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves. So all in all fabulous holiday 10/10. We went with First Choice, and our rep was fantastic, always there to answer questions and let us know what was going on. Did warn us about shopping in Sousse but I think it went over our heads and we didn't pay attention. Thalassa Village in our opinion (and we went and had a look in most of the others) is the only place to stay if you want a truly wonderful holiday.

The staff from management down were anti -British. You could not get served at the bars. Unless you spoke German, French or Italian that is.Then they couldnt move fast enough. We feel it should be in the brochure as not suitable for British holiday makers. The Accommodation was not very good either. We were kept waiting in reception for 2 hrs in a temp of 44 degrees for our rooms to be allocated to us.There was raw sewage running down the beach. This was the worst holiday we have ever had. We felt sorry for couples with children. The Kiddies club was all German, Italian and French as well. English was virtually no go. Tour Operator: First choice

Thalassa Village in Skanes Tunisia was the most enjoyable holiday I have ever experienced. As a single mother travelling alone for the first time with my five year old daughter (accompanied by my niece) I was a bit nervous about the whole experience. The staff at Thalassa Village couldnt have put my mind at rest any more if they tried. They were wonderful. All the staff were fluent in many languages, when we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by our first names, they'd obviously done their research, we filled in the necessary forms and were shown straight to the restaurant where we could get our evening meal. When returning to reception our key was ready for us and the porter already had our cases on a trolley ready to show us to our room. We felt like royalty. Its true that its not populated much by English visitors but the kids club staff speak all languages and include each and every child in the activities, there are even special 'Brit nights' to make you feel more included. The resort itself is very clean, the beach is gorgeous although during the rain there is the usual rubbish washed up on shore, this is soon cleared and the white sands return to being a lovely place to relax and play. There are lots of activites put on, there's plenty of choice with swimming pools which are all extremely clean, the food is absolutely wonderful with a wide range in choice. The English choices can be a minority but I think if you're going to go abroad it is ignorant to expect to eat English all the time during your stay. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful and I would recommend this location to anyone who knows how to appreciate a good foreign holiday, being able to mix with the locals, try their cuisine and join in the local activities is what makes a holiday abroad seem worthwhile. If you wanted a fully English holiday then go to Butlins! My niece, myself and my daughter made some very good friends whilst we were there and it was very emotional to say goodbye at the end of the fortnight. The staff came to wave us off and it really felt like we were leaving home rather than returning home.
