Seyir Hotel is a very basic bed and breakfast hotel run by lads no more than 25 years of Age. Gold Trail are offering this hotel as an alternative for the Tlos Hotel which has been closed down. The Seyir Hotel is not capable of offering all inclusive as they only feed you chicken, rice and chips for every meal and if you are not there at stated meal times, food is cold as they have no method of keeping the food hot.

I can't understand the good reports about this hotel, we stayed one night but then moved to the Han Hotel at our own expense.
The rooms were sparten to say the least and how it can be a 3 star I'll never know. 2 stars would be generous... a lousy wardrobe and not enough hangers... we had to put our clothes over a chair. The music went on far too late and kept us awake. Another couple moved out also. We could not relocate without being charged by goldtrail. Another lady had rings stolen from her room, cops were called, much too long a walk all uphill from the main nightlife. Don't go there. Maybe the lager louts didn't notice these things but we did.

The Hotel Seyir was great. I went there just last week. The staff were great. There when you needed them and friendly. The rooms were great and in perfect condition. I was on bed and breakfast and it was great. I loved the pool (especially going down the water slide).

Hotel was nice, pool ok, staff painful, don't speak English and just agree with anything you say. I went in a party of 12, my daughter just got married and their first time in Turkey. I have been many times but thank goodness not to this hotel. We had a 3-year-old, a 6-year-old and an 11-month-old. Not once were they given a free ice cream, lolly, nothing every single thing was charged for, the baby had to have half water and half juice each time we asked for the bottle to have half juice we were charged full price after 2 weeks and 3 kids not cheap. My grandson cut his foot badly on glass by the water, and first instance wrapped in a towel and took him to med centre. It was dressed daily quite bad. Guess what - on our bill as we were leaving we were charged £6.50p for dirtying the towel the doctor spayed iodine antiseptic sray on his foot. Guess what, we were charged £6.50p for that too. The whole experience was not the Turkey I know and love, and would not recommend to take kids. Also had to send lots of snacks back due to not being cooked or cold. So gave up eating there.

I have just returned from a lovey week in Hotel Seyhir. The staff were very friendly whenever the management weren't about. They all seem to be scared of the boss there, who arrived every breakfast time like a lynchman from the mafia.
Glad I did not go all inclusive...or soft inclusive as it was known. This is as much problem for the holiday company as the hotel. There were alot of unhappy people there, mostly because they couldnt eat from day break to dusk, but some did have genuine complaints. the best option is to avoid the AI option or go to a 5 star.
The slide is class, I'm a 37 year old child who loved it.
The location is top notch. Set in the foot of rising mountains and enjoying a fresh breeze from the sea the heat is reduced to a comfortable tempature.
The rooms were basic, but 3 star generally is. The whole place is a bit tired looking but relaxed.
There is a bit of a silly rule that one is not allowed to bring things like food and drink into the hotel. This is countrywide and not restricted to this one place. So dont give the staff a hard time, there is nothing they can do about it!!
Transfers etc all went grand. Met lovely people there and had a great time.
Only thing to remember is that you booked 3*, don't expect 10*!!
Just enjoy!! Tour Operator: Goldtrail

We returned to the Seyir Hotel this year after having a fantastic time last year. This year we returned all inclusive as we did last year, it was completely different. The food was slop, such as rice, cold chips and chicken, with no alternative. Fruit juices such as pineapple had to be paid for, as did bottled water. The only things free are wine, vodka and beer. We had to eat out every night, and we spent a fortune. If it had been advertised soft all inclusive in England which it had not been, we would not have returned. Most of the staff were ok, althought there were a couple of desperate perverted staff. The manager patrols like the king and the staff are terrified of him. We complained to the rep and she did not want to know. If you are going all inclusive, make sure you take extra money as you will need to pay for extra things when there. The area is still great, but it has put us off and we wont be returning.

We recently enjoyed two weeks at the Hotel Seyir and can honestly recommend it! Ok, the hotel rooms are a little tired and there's nowhere to hang your clothes, but the staff there were so helpful and friendly they made our stay there fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel so welcome. The first week it was just my nephew and I then my husband and foster daughter came out to join us for the second week. The staff were as excited as us at their arrival and gave us their 'best room' for the remainder of our stay. It was our wedding anniversary while we were there and we were given cocktails by one of the locals who often visited the bar. The hotel is beautifully situated with fantastic views. The walk back up the hill from Hisanarou in the August heat was rather tiring but a taxi cost only a couple of pounds. We found the food at the hotel to be simple but tasty. There were plenty of alternatives to the usual rice and chips and the salads were delicious. Considering the amount of fruit grown locally, fresh fruit juice was not readily available. (Apart from the bottled stuff which the hotel charged extra for). Locally there were lots of eating places to visit but food in the resorts tended to be the same wherever you ate. The two young people in our party would be back there in a flash. They loved sitting with the hotel staff until the early hours. When we left, every single member of staff on duty came to say goodbye to us. Fantastic people, brilliant holiday.

Stayed at the Hotel Seyir a few weeks back and i wouldnt really recommend it as the rooms were dirty. The bathroom had all mould around it as well as on the shower curtain, i didnt even want to have a shower! we only used the room for sleeping and getting ready so it was bearable. All in all the actual hotel wasnt too bad (apart from the rooms) the pool was nice and the slide was a nice addition, although it was only on for 2 hours a day. The hotel Seyir was quite near the town only a 10 minute walk and from the town you could catch a bus to the beach. Tour Operator: Goldtrail

We are going to Hotel Seyir on Oct 17. Can anyone tell us what the weather will be like then. We know it is cooler in the mountains but will it be fairly warm around that time of year? If anyone has any info on the hotel or Ovacik please post it on this site. Also how long is the transfer to the resort. All tips will be appreciated because this is our first visit to Turkey.

Excellent holiday. Fantastic hotel. Brilliant staff. The Hotel Seyir is situated only a few minutes walk from the centre of Ovacik with a back drop of wonderful pine-clad mountains. We were all inclusive, which was a wise choice even though there are plenty of restaurants and bars in Ovacik and Hisaronu. The staff we could not fault and found all the Turkish people that we met to be very helpful, friendly and go out of their way to look after us us.
The hotel has a lovely pool and slide with a poolside bar, large undercover dining area and numerous sun loungers.
Our room was cleaned daily, the towels were changed every day and even our clothes were folded for us. One evening when we returned to our room we found the girls had left flowers arranged on the bed for us.
It was our first holiday to Turkey so we decided to go on all the trips from the hotel and found them to be really good value for money and a great way to see everything. We definitely recommend Dalyan and the mud bath trip. There is so much to see and do around this area that we never got bored and have already booked 2 weeks in September 2006.
On our last day we hired a Jeep and drove across to Patara beach for the day. Patara beach is 12 miles long backed only by ancient ruins. There is just one small bar/cafe on the beach and toilets in the car park and that’s it so if you want to relax in peace and find a quiet spot then this is the beach for you.
We had a brilliant time and can’t wait to go back. 10/10. Habib and Jane

The rooms we were put in first were awful, the bathroom was disgusting: black around the bath, holes in the roof. You would not stay here for long. We were moved to a bit better room later on. Staff are good. Dont go "all inclusive" with Gold Trail: you get chicken, rice, and chips every night if you're lucky. Tour Operator: Gold Trail

Fantastic Hotel. Surrounded by beautiful gardens containing all kinds of fruit. Hotel staff very friendly and very helpful. Hotel is nicely situated just 5 minutes walk from town. Rooms are cleaned near enough every day. Pool area is kept clean. Plenty of Sunbeds. Water slide is switched on at 10am-12pm then 15pm-17pm. There is a little pool which is ideal for babies and toddlers. Air conditioning is in every room but you do have to pay for it. Town caters for all tastes. Olu Deniz beach only 5-10 minutes away on Dolmus which can be caught from town. It only costs about £2.00 return. Olu Deniz beach absolutely beautiful. Water is crystal clear. Looks just like it does in brochures. Blue Lagoon is also beautiful and is quiet which is ideal for children but it is also very hot as there is no waves. Would definetly stay at this hotel again if I was to return to Turkey. Tour Operator: Goldtrail

I had a fantastic week at the Hotel Seyir last October. The weather during the day was lovely, but it did get a bit chilly in the evening, and the rooms could have done with extra blankets. The pool was also a bit cold to go in In the middle of October, but a few brave souls were in there. The food was nothing special, but there was nothing wrong with it. The staff were all very nice and friendly, especially the young waiter (whose name I'm affraid I don't remember) and the bar man Jimmi. We were very well looked after, and we found the advantage (and disadvantage) of being all inclusive was that as soon as we put an empty glass on the bar, Jimmi filled it again before you could say no. The rooms were clean and tidy, and when we arrived we found a beautiful floral arrangement on the beds for us, which was a lovely touch. There is a gorgeous view of the mountains from the hotel. It's well located, only being a short walk from the town, with a small shop just around the corner as well. I had such a good time, I am looking to go back this year. Tour Operator: Gold Trail

Just recently returned from Seyir and the hotel is great value for money. Staying all inclusive was a wise choice as the drinks in the hotel were more expensive than others. The food in the hotel is fantastic and cooked by a very good chef!
The hotel is very clean, decor a little dated, but you only need the room to sleep in so that didn't mattter. Apparently the hotel is due to be refurbished in the winter, but not in desperate need of it. The hotel is a five minute walk from Hisaronu, but it is a steep hill on the return. The two waiters in the hotel are fantastic lads, Onur and Servet: they work very very hard, 17 hours per day. They are learning English very well, so please help them out! But lucky you if you are going, we would return to this hotel with no hesitation! Tour Operator: Goldtrail

The Kumsal Pide Restauarant was one of my favourites in previous years and I am delighted to say that converting the old shack into a modern restaurant with Hotel, pool and a bowling alley, while it lacks the old battered charm of the place, has not affected to quality of the wonderful food or the cheerful staff. Hotel Seyer looked a lovely complex but on our arrival not impressed with room: dark, dingy in desperate need of decorating. Bare wires, holes in walls, units falling apart. Told couldn't be moved for 3 days but was offered basement room same day. Not what we booked for. Very dissappointed. Transferred to Club Solaria: brilliant! Tour Operator: Goldtrail

I found the accommodation excellent the location was a ten minute walk from the main centre the staff were very entertaining and very helpful. Only downful was the all inclusive didnt actually cover anything. I would rate it 9 out of 10.
