Armar hotel - what a dreadful place - Hassan. Date of travel: Dec 2007
If you are Turkish, you are welcomed. English are not! The food was cold and it was chicken for lunch and dinner with salad and rice/pasta - every day. They kept running out of drinks - even though we paid all inclusive and didn't want to buy more until we all complained! They expected us to pay an extra £20 to join in their new year Turkish party - when we refused, they stuck us in the swimming pool to eat a very tiny cold portion of turkey which I witnessed being handled by a waiters ungloved hands. The guests coming in for the evening had a wonderful meal aparantly. We only got our dinner that night because we went in at 7pm. Other people that had also paid all inclusive were refused dinner.
They would not put the heating on but had the air conditioning blowing cold so we wouldn't congretate in the lounge area. At 11pm they turned the lights off downstairs so we would go to our rooms.
The rep Jane Carter was awful! She passed the buck and pretended that she had no idea these things were going on! She fooled us in to leaving the hotel at 12pm - when our flight back home was at 5pm just so the hotel didn't have to feed us. We had to stay in a freezing cold airport with the lights off having nothing to eat or drink.
It was a dreadful place to be in. The hotel was awful and I will nver recommened amyone going there.
Luckily we met some wonderful people who made our holiday!

Club Armar Hotel - Mr J Cooke. Date of travel: Nov 1999
Me and my partner went there this year and found it very pleasant although the food was not to a great standard, just chicken, rice or salad every day! Not sure if I would return there! The staff were very helpful apart from the lady who served at the snack bar!
