Excellent time in Marmaris - Shirpa Patel. Date of travel: Jul 2007
We stayed at Club Seray Forest and the whole family thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We had lots of different ages with us but there was something for everyone. The hotel was clean and bright and the staff were lovely. It was situated on a big hill but we had stunning views and there was a free shuttle bus service so it wasn't a problem.
We ate at Mustis bar on our first night as it had been recommended online but to be honest, we found it the most expensive restaurant in the whole area! Violets offered very good value with an extensive menu and lovely staff. Carols bar was also very good, with a lovely dutch girl who played with our youngest all night long!
We booked our excursions with Nostradamus tours, opposite Mustis, and they were tremendous! Superb value for money, accuractley described in the brochures, lovely husband and wife staff Katie & Tommy, all great fun. We went Diving, Turtle Beach, Cleopatra Island, Moonlight Cruise, Jeep Safari and Ephesus & Pamukkale as a 2 day trip. Everything came to 100 GBP per adult! Amazing!!
The Marina is nice to stroll around in the evening and the hassling is a lot better than I had expected from others who had been to Turkey previously. We bought some lovely tax free jewellery too, it's a complete shoppers paradise! Would recommend Turkey to anyone.

Seray Forest, I slept on the balcony - Yaeger. Date of travel: Jul 2007
Just returned from Seray Forest having been there for a week. Overall it was a fine hotel, great entertainment for little kids with pool, video games for them to play on (all at a price). Situated out of resort centre, best to plan your days and do some trips as it's a pain to keep catching the bus down to Marmaris centre. My daughter and myself slept on the balcony throughout our stay as the beds were so uncomfortable, and my mother and son took to the floors. Spacious rooms but not too clean when we arrived. Poor bedding supplies, but if you let them get away with it they will so pull them up. Thomsons rep, Bill, was a diamond, easy going and approachable to chat to about trips. We did the talk of the town, waterpark, Daylan check out and mum and son did Epheus. All were great. A must is the talk of the town and if you're on a late flight, the check out trip is excellent. Club Seray was ok but wouldn't choose to stay there again only because of beds and distance to Marmaris.
