I loved the Aral hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms and the pool area/restaurant were spotless and the rooms were large and airy. Great pool area with plenty of free loungers and lovely food. Good location in a fairly quiet area, but only a 15 minute walk to the centre of Side and the ruins and two minutes from minibus/taxi rank. A few lovely restaurants within 5 minutes of the hotel. The Hawaiian in particular served fantastic food and was friendly (with a karaoke later at night), as was the Amelda restaurant. About a ten minute walk to the nearest beach, but the pool is really big with slides etc, so it's tempting just to stay there. If you're planning on visiting Side, then I would recommend this hotel.

The Aral Hotel is ok, the hydroslide is quite cool. It's far to walk to side, and you have to walk through a dump to get there.

My second stay at the Aral Hotel in April 2007 this year was fantastic. The food is excellent and facilities are great. The pool now has a welcome addition of a waterslide which I will try on my next visit. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are immaculate and a traditional weekly Turkish night is now available. A relaxing environment with amazing beach, ancient ruins, shopping and nightlife within 15 minutes walk or a speeedy dolmush away.

The Aral Hotel is a very fine place to stay with friendly staff, excellent food and a beautiful pool. Hospitality is exceptional and nothing is too much trouble. I strongly recommend this Hhtel in Side. Thanks to all the staff who made my holiday a memorable one.

The Aral Hotel was such a good holiday. I loved the location, had great food, people were freindly and I would go back any time. We went there when it was first open and miss it.
