I have just returned from holiday in this great hotel and no it was not all old folk. There was a mixed age group and they all seemed to have enjoyed their stay. I have no complaints to make as our room was cleaned every day and fresh towels too, the food was first class and as I have a dietary problem I was catered for with no problems, the staff were all helpful and friendly and seemed to enjoy their duties, the location of the hotel was great, I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and I will go back to Jersey only if I can stay there.

In 2006 we holidayed again in Jersey. Myself, Mr James and his extended family stayed in St Helier at the Norfolk Hotel in Jersey and have to admit that this hotel was not up to our usual standards. We were very disappointed and felt the room sub-standard and noisy from air extractors and when making a complaint and wanting a change of rooms, were promptly turned down. Even though this is only a 2 sun budget hotel, I was disgusted at the attitude considering we spent money coming to this hotel and in the hotel on drinks, etc.
The Norfolk Hotel had a rotten choice of food and could have been cleaner and fresher and we felt that it was in need of modernising too. We felt it was sub-standard, not very welcoming and a bit outdated towards today's standards and a little frayed at the edges. Our room was not only noisy but rather small and opressive so this didnt add to the enjoyment of our stay in St Helier. We would never have booked here if we knew what it was really like and will not be staying here again.
My Sister in law felt the same way about the Norfolk Hotel when she stayed here and felt let down and that she could have had a nicer holiday here in delightful Jersey if she had also stayed at a better class hotel.

We travelled here in September 2006 for the first time ever travelling here, and i found the rooms rather small cramped and the menu lacked much choice if you are a fussy eater, the hotel is i felt more suited to the older guest and it was near to various amenities such as the busy shopping centre in St Helier and the lovely Park etc
Norfolk Hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, lovely cafeteria, well stocked bar room and entertainment with a singer on with guitar. The rooms though small and cramped were very clean and tidy as was the rest of the hotel and was ideal for people who could not walk far as there was the shopping centre, bus station close by but this hotel laid on trips from the hotel to other attractions/islands but in my opinion although good value for money i shall not be staying here again

We stayed in Norfolk Hotel Jersey in 2006 and were dissatisfied with our rooms and substandard choice of food on the menu. Although the puddings were varied they were very much the same and very sickly smoothered in cream. Complaints were made to management regarding the room, etc, but no alternative or apology was given. We felt the hotel could have been modernised and updated and looked like it was stuck in the 1970s and felt that the swimming pool area and loungers could have been cleaner. The corridors to our room smelt stale, possibly due to certain old furniture being there for years. We were disappointed with little in the way of entertainment and very much the same each day/week and though this hotel was popular with many old folk, it did not live up to our expectations and we were disappointed with the attitude of certain staff. The good points were that the Norfolk Hotel was very close to shops, park, etc and within easy reach of a bus station. We also found the waiters/waitressing staff very hard working and helpful to us throughout our stay and very courteous too. Due to our overall dissatisfaction with various aspects of our hotel stay, we will choose a better class of hotel should we visit Jersey again in the future with our extended family, or alone or with friends.
