The Esplanade Hotel is in a great location right on the seafront of Paignton. The shops, bars and bus station are 5 minutes walk away. The hotel is somewhat scruffy and is in need of a complete redecoration. The bathroom was abysmal and the cleaning was not very good. The staff on the whole except those on the bar were top notch. The food was a good standard but the portions were a tad mean. It was waiter service.
