Good hotels in Caracas are extremely overpriced and fully booked due to the important business traveller traffic. Ole Caribe Hotel is reasonably safe and comfortable and would probably fetch $100 a room in any other Latin American country but of course, here it is nearer $300, not including the $20 breakfast. Your success in booking it will be random, regardless of the method. The view over the popular beach areas is OK and the swimming pool is good. Food is acceptable, but it generally is in Venezuela. It's overpriced of course....
