Santa in Lapland - Heiddi. Date of travel: Dec 2005
We were looking into a holiday to see Santa and found Ruka in Lapland in the Inghams brochure. A week self catering at the Ruka log cabins was cheaper than a day trip!! We flew from Gatwick into Kuusamo and when we arrived we were transferred by coach to our cabin. Once we had established when the husky safari, reindeer safari and trip to Santas home were we realised we had quite a lot of the week to still fill up so we decided to book 3 days learn to ski package and we had a fab time. It is a small family orientated resort but at the end it was the best holiday I have ever been on and would definitely recommend it. Tour Operator: Inghams

What an exciting trip we had when we visited. We travelled to Luosto and spent 3 days just before Christmas. Staying in a small log cabin, what a fantastic trip we had. Friendly staff during the stay and our little one (Christoper) had such a wonderful time. He is now 5 years old and just the right age we think to appreciate Santa. It is cold all of the time when outside. But the log cabin was extremely well looked after and was warm and cosy for the 2 nights we stayed in them. I went on a day tour Husky sledging and I must say I have never been on such an exciting journey; you really have to go on the trip to appreciate it. We also experienced the Northern Lights and my what a sight they really are. It is almost unbelieveable!
