Big Rosie, Valdosta Georgia, - June. Date of travel: Mar 2011
Every time I go to Florida by car I make a point of stopping at Big Rosies !! I don't get there every year of course. This year 2011 I did make the trip. I made my usual stop on my way back home to Ontario. Sadly I never got to say hello to Big Rosie, he had left for lunch. Things have changed there at the pecan stand....now many, many things are for sale in specially bagged and priced (rather high).

The pecans covered n both white and brown chocolate are not a good buy in case anyone was interested...10 bucks a bag and it is the most awful chocolate you ever tasted!!!!

The oranges were ok and the 25 dollar net bag of pecans are mostly fresh. The "tangerine" honey is great. I will always stop and hope to see big rosie if I go that way again !! He was a nice man.
Big Rosie's - Paul. Date of travel: Feb 2008
Heading north on I-75 be sure to stop at exit 11, in Valdosta. Big Rosie's sells fruit, pecans of all varieties, and other goodies. Everything is excellent quality and Big Rosie is a fun guy to talk to. I make a point of stopping here whenever I'm in the area.
