Lake Bosumtwi - Carl,Sophie, Emilia and 2 Kids. Date of travel: Feb 2008
We have seen a lot of Places from Ghana, I can say everything is nice especially the people. We travelled from South to North. But for me the best Place was Ashanti Reg. with the Lake Bosumtwi, laying in a natural crater, very romantic.
A trip to Mole` National Park, Ghana - Paul Dicks. Date of travel: Aug 2007
The Mole` National Park in Ghana is hidden 100kms down a dirt road off the main highway. In the north of the country humidity is high but the after the long drive we found the Mole`Park Lodge. Not exactly modern but well equipped with a restaurant, bar and pool. More importantly the lodge sits on top of a cliff overlooking a watering hole. There are two levels of accommodation, the backpackers bunkhouse and the hotel rooms. The hotel rooms all have private balconies looking directly over the watering hole. There are guided walking tours morning and evenings allowing you to get up close and personal with the local wildlife. They may not have the big 5 here but there is still plenty to see, with monkeys, baboons, monitor lizards, elephants and an incredible amount of birdlife you won’t be disappointed.
Palm Tree Paradise - Nigel Tompkins. Date of travel: Apr 2006
Once you get over the humidity, Ghana is absolutely fantastic. It is one of the more stable countries in the region and the biggest plus is that almost everyone speaks English. There is so much to do in this country and the people are eager to tell you and show you. I visited Kakum national park, the rainforest park famous for its walkway canopy between the trees. Its amazing to see the rainforest extend and extend from such a height. Kumasi was an interesting little unplanned stopover but a lively place with great people and the interesting Ashanti culture. Accra is a great place to stock up on 'westernised' goods, which I had to having been travelling in Mali and Burkina. There are plenty of bars and pubs and beach resorts around the city but I found the best beaches just west of the city past the tourist hotspot of Cape Coast, in a tiny village called Brenu Achenum. The campsite was fantastic with mouthwatering food and cheap too. In fact compared to many other countries around the area, Ghana comes out best in terms of value for money. Another highlight was the Akosombo damn which holds back the world's largest artificial lake. It is truly spectacular.

Great country and a great city to stay in Tema. The hotel was peaceful, the food was great and the people and staff were fantastic. They could not do enough for us. Fantastic night life, the best kept secret in Africa. Tour Operator: Flight Bargains
