Jordan Select Tours - Cheri Hayman. Date of travel: Feb 2010
We travelled to Jordan at the end of October 2009 for 7 days with Jordan Select Tours (also called Jordan Direct Tours). The arrangments were very easy to make over the internet and the trip more than met our expectations. We were met at the airport in Amman and helped through customs and the Visa purchase process. We could have done this on our own as we travel quite a bit, and it wasn't very difficult, but it didn't hurt to have assistance after 24 hours on 4 different planes to get there. The driver they assigned us, Ahmad, took us to the hotel and arranged our pick up time for the next day. He was very helpful throughout the week with a lot of information on the customs of the country. We visited Amman, Jerash, Mount Nebo, Madaba, Wadi Mujib, Petra, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea. We had originally thought we'd stay in Jordan for 5 days, but decided on 7 days and stayed an extra 2 nights at the Movenpick Dead Sea resort. This was well worth the time as the wind picked up and you couldn't go into the Dead Sea on the second day of our stay and on the third day, we were on our way to the airport - fortunately, we went into the sea on the first afternoon. We saw many fabulous sights and ALL were worth the visit. Jordan was very safe and every one we met was very friendly. Joradanian food is wonderful and our driver directed us to some great small restaurants serving locals with excellent food. It was very easy to arrange the trip by email they gave us the trip we asked for. We had a wonderful time.

Wonderful Jordan! - Chan. Date of travel: Jan 2010
Jordan is a very beautiful country, having magnificent view which is totally different from my own country. Although our trip to Jordan was short (4 days), we managed to visit several places. Thank to Jordan select tour, assigned us a very dedicated driver Talal, making our short trip wonderful. He even invited us to his house for a lunch.

Amazing country - Annie & John. Date of travel: Apr 2008
I think what struck us most is how friendly Jordan really is. Everyone was smiling to us and the sites are nothing short of exceptional. Cost is probably higher than Egypt, but you get the chance to experience a country that still oozes class. We used Jordan Select Tours www.select.jo and they have been very good. There are a lot of travel agencies to choose from though.

I am in Jordan right now and what an amazing place to come! The people are lovely and Jordan is just a beauty from top to bottom! Don't be afraid of anything. It is the most secure place on earht! I am travelling with JORDAN TOURS & TRAVEL and they are based here in Petra. Fantastic time! Last night we experienced Petra kitchen! We cooked with local women and they gave us recipes and a hand made apron to bring home with us! Tonight we will go back to Petra to experience Petra by Night! I can't wait. Always use local Tour Operators like the one above because they know best!

I went to Jordan for the first time in May 2005. It was amazing. I went to meet my in-laws and numerous relatives. The hospitality of my relatives and the numerous strangers was incredible. People are so different there. Jordanians are relaxed and happy and yet most of them are quite poor. The sites were magnificent and we still have many to see on our next visit. We were mainly in Irbid and Ajloun but also visited other cities and sites such as Jerash, Umm Qays, Ajloun Castle, and the Dead Sea. Also, you have to ride a camel! It's the most incredible and strange experience. We also went to a bathhouse- not a touristy one. I will probably never do it again but I am so glad I have the memories! Don't hesitate to do anything, do everything you can. If you get sick when you get there go see a pharmacist. I didn't and lost several days. You don't want to lose one minute of an amazing place like this! Enjoy the coffee and everything else.

I travelled with cosmos out to Jordan, my itinerary involved 2 nights in Amman at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, great hotel, central position. Great excursion to do is a visit to the Roman city of Jerash. After a few days we took the Kings highway down to Petra; the must see whilst you are in Petra is the Red Rose City. This city was carved into the red stone over 2000 years ago, people use to live in the hills, this is no longer the case as it is now a tourist attraction, the location is most famous as featured in the Indiana Jones movies. Jordan is one of the most memorable places i have ever visited. The sights to see, the people and the food were fantastic, well worth a visit . Tour Operator: cosmos distant dreams
