I am in Jordan right now and what an amazing place to come! The people are lovely and Jordan is just a beauty from top to bottom! Don't be afraid of anything. It is the most secure place on earht! I am travelling with JORDAN TOURS & TRAVEL and they are based here in Petra. Fantastic time! Last night we experienced Petra kitchen! We cooked with local women and they gave us recipes and a hand made apron to bring home with us! Tonight we will go back to Petra to experience Petra by Night! I can't wait. Always use local Tour Operators like the one above because they know best!

I went to Jordan for the first time in May 2005. It was amazing. I went to meet my in-laws and numerous relatives. The hospitality of my relatives and the numerous strangers was incredible. People are so different there. Jordanians are relaxed and happy and yet most of them are quite poor. The sites were magnificent and we still have many to see on our next visit. We were mainly in Irbid and Ajloun but also visited other cities and sites such as Jerash, Umm Qays, Ajloun Castle, and the Dead Sea. Also, you have to ride a camel! It's the most incredible and strange experience. We also went to a bathhouse- not a touristy one. I will probably never do it again but I am so glad I have the memories! Don't hesitate to do anything, do everything you can. If you get sick when you get there go see a pharmacist. I didn't and lost several days. You don't want to lose one minute of an amazing place like this! Enjoy the coffee and everything else.

I travelled with cosmos out to Jordan, my itinerary involved 2 nights in Amman at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, great hotel, central position. Great excursion to do is a visit to the Roman city of Jerash. After a few days we took the Kings highway down to Petra; the must see whilst you are in Petra is the Red Rose City. This city was carved into the red stone over 2000 years ago, people use to live in the hills, this is no longer the case as it is now a tourist attraction, the location is most famous as featured in the Indiana Jones movies. Jordan is one of the most memorable places i have ever visited. The sights to see, the people and the food were fantastic, well worth a visit . Tour Operator: cosmos distant dreams
