Malaysia
A remarkable ethnically diverse south-east Asian country, Malaysia is split into two by the South China Sea, covering a peninsula in the west and a section of mainland containing the provinces of Sabah and Sarawak, covered in dense jungle, to the east. Most visitors who holiday in Malaysia stick to the Peninsula, site of fantasticmore

Malaysia is a nice country, especially the islands. I had a great time in staying at the Four Seasons Langkawi. Would love to go back again.

I recently visited Afamosa wild life park and hotel, in Malacca. I found the staff were very polite and well mannered, and we enjoyed our stay there very much. I think Afamosa should be advertised more as I only learned of the wild life park being there from my wife who is from Penang, but most Malaysian I spoke did not know of Afamosa. In Peneng it is like paradise with the beach, warm and the friendliness of the places. Tour Operator: Self

I and my husband went to Malaysia for a 3 1/2 weeks holiday. And it so enjoyable that we are going to go back there for another holiday in a couple of years time. The places we went to are in penang, kuala lumpur and the Afarmosa. It is so beautiful and cheap. We hope to go in different parts of Malaysia when we return. Tour Operator: Self

This summer I returned to the east coast of the Malaysian peninsular to be enchanted by the Perhentian Islands for a third time this year. The islands are an absolute dream; glowing white sand, the ocean sparkilng in hues of blue and green, and giant palm and bananna tress sway in the gentle breeze. I dived with Spice Divers on Long Beach, which is located on Pulau Kecil. With over 30 dive sites, I dived almost every day for a month. Between the Vietnamese ship wreck where we saw giant black spotted sting rays, large schools of Baracuda & Bat fish, Sail Rock; where we floated along with turtles over rainbow beds of soft and hard coral, and D'laggon where I was surrounded by a school of huge bump head parrots, Its hard to choose a favorite. If you love to explore the under water world, don't miss the Perhentians. Spice Divers DM's where friendly, knowledgable staff and I really enjoyed dving with them. The Perhentian dive season runs from April - October, the best months being summer. http://www.spicedivers.com.my. I truly found it was better than Thailand. Happy diving!!!

As far as towns go my favourite in Malaysia was Kota Bharu on the east coast - very Malay with a wicked night food market. Very cultural. Stayed in a beaut place - Town Guest House - very friendly family with guest rooms. Very quiet except for the mosque nearby blaring out the call to prayer from 5am!

3 nights in kuala lumpar stayed at ritz carlton, kuala lumpar very clean and safe shopping good, we saw the petronas towers, and had day tour around KL. Then on to Borneo for 7 nights tour, we visited sarawak and sabah , the experience was out of this world the people were so kind, the jungle part of Borneo was amazing with fabulous views and the jungle treks were again amazing taking in all the flora/fauna and animals which included probiscus monkeys, and of course a trip to Sepilok the Orangutan sanctuary is a must we then had 7 nights at langkawi and stayed at the sheraton perdana resort, hotel standards are excellent but beach wasn't fabulous at this hotel. THE BEST OF THIS TRIP WAS DEFINATELY BORNEO A REAL MUST . Tour Operator: premier asia
