St Lucia
Tourism has made just a gentle intrusion into the tranquility and sylvan splendour of St Lucia, the eastern Caribbean island just north of bustling Barbados. People searching for a Caribbean dream holiday in St Lucia stay in discreet resorts dotted around the magnificent coastline. The busiest spot is the island’s port of Castries, where day-trippersmore
St. Lucia - Alla. Date of travel: Feb 2009
I recommend pre-booking the helicopter from the international airport to your resort. This way you get to the resort really qickly, most of them are at the other end of the island. Put your bathing suit in your carry on bag as your luggage will arrive several hours after you by road. If you want to see the island make the return journey to the airport by road, this is as good as anyway to experience the island without taking time away from your resort. If you do want to see more of the island book a boat trip, no traffic this way!!

Dream holiday destination for our Honeymoon
St Lucia is a beautiful tropical island. I have wanted to go to St Lucia since I did a project on it at the age of 10. I wasn't disappointed. Lush green surrounded by blues and greens and beautiful beaches to top it off. What more do you need? North Island seems to be more select area, on the whole. Roads need to be treated like a work in progress, but local taxi-drivers know them well and make it as smooth as possible!! Go to Pigeon Island and have a helicopter tour (amazing way to see the Pitons!!). It was nice to do the land and sea tour, too. We saw all the fishing villages and well as seeing the island from the sea on a catamaran.
Serenity Vacations was a great organiser - Lee and Zena. Date of travel: Jul 2007
Serenity Vacations was a great organiser
St.lucia is very lush and scenic. For those who love nature it is the perfect place. The Piton beer was ohhhhhh so good. There is so much to see and do, volcano, pitons, waterfalls are spectacular. We did 2 day trips to Martinique and Grenadine, also the zipline, and land and sea tour and helicopter sighteeing tour. All these were great. We got a discount since we booked everything through Serenity and got some good rates.
Getting dirty was so much fun - DK. Date of travel: Jun 2007
Our day in St Lucia included a active volanic tour followed by a voyage into the depths of a volcanic mud stream. The water is about thigh high in some areas and SO warm...you reach down into the stream and grab the sulfur mud and smear all over you...the SPA's have NOTHING on this experience. The mud is warm and exfoiliating...the scent is strong but when you rinse off in the warm stream or pool ... dry off and and ride back to the ship...there is no relaxing sleep like that. It was great.
Beautiful St. Lucia - Dr Smith. Date of travel: May 2006
Perhaps because LeSport was so bad I was encouraged to spend as much time away from it as possible! The Island is beautiful, the sea perfect. Go to Pigeon Island for an afternoon wonder around. The Jalousie Plantation in the South set amoung the Pitons is magnificent. Take a bath in one of the streams and apply the warm volcanic mud all over your body (be careful it stains clothing) and then rinse it off under a waterfall of warm water. Very theraputic. Take a day trip to Martinique by boat or definately go on the Pirate ship!!
Atlantic Shores Riding Stables - Jonathan Henry. Date of travel: Mar 2006
This place is very beautiful...Vieux-Fort is a very relaxing place to be. I went to Atlantic shores riding stables and that was paradise! I love the ocean there...the small cove was so romantic and the scenery was breath taking. The Mangrove trail back to the stable was so lush and green. Our guides were a great joy to be around. We had live music from a steel pan group and the food was so tasty. I had my first coconut(freshly picked from the tree). I was in awe watching the guy climb to the top. All in all this was a wonderful experience I will cherish for the rest of my life! Tour Operator: local guides

This island is Simply TOO Beautiful. The lush, exotic tropical views are so spectacular. The people are so friendly and precious. I have travelled to most of the islands but ST.LUCIA stole my heart. I stayed at Coconut Bay near Vieux Fort. It was still under construction but the service was very good. The highlight of my trip was horseback riding with Atlantic Shores Stables along Honeymoon Beach. Our guide was so great and informative. He made my wife and I feel like we were in PARADISE!!! The secluded cove was so romantic. Definitely a "must-do" next time. We can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!! Tour Operator: N/A

We stayed at the Regency a fantastic adult only property, where nothing was too much trouble and we were treated like royalty. The hotel is in a great location near two other sandals properties which we visited and discovered that the Regency seemed the better choice. St Lucia is a beatiful island with so much to see and do we visited the volcano, sulphur springs botanical gardens, the pitons and the diamond waterfalls. The locals are very friendly and welcoming a fantastic holiday and definately a place where we will visit again. Tour Operator: Sandals

Stayed at St Lucian right on the beautiful Reduit Beach. Superb accommdation and the service was excellent. St Lucia is such a pretty island. Loads of breathtaking scenery. Went mountain biking through the rain forest and even did the drive through volcano. Snorkelling was brilliant in Anse Chastanet as were the great views of the twin Pitons. Definately a place to go back too. Tour Operator: Hayes and Jarvis
