Capital Territory
Deliberately created to encircle the capital city of Australia, Canberra, the Capital Territory (ACT for short) is fittingly businesslike, smart and pristine, covering a relatively small area of the interior to the northwest of Sydney. Most of the Territory is taken up by Canberra and its suburbs, its urban spread balanced by the scenic aspectmore of the man-made Lake Burley Griffin, and the Namadqi National Park covering the south west area.
