Palm Cove - J & J. Date of travel: Dec 2004
We stayed at Palm Cove which is about 20 minutes away from Cairns. It's a beautiful place, the white sandy beach fringed with palm trees. Plenty of places to eat and a few shops but not at all commercialised. In December it was hot and humid and is the beginning of the rainy season. Also its 'Stinger' time so you can only swim in a small protected area. Apparently the best time to go is between April and September. Tour Operator: travel4less
