Antigua
Boasting a new, modern cruise ship dock, Antigua, one of the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean, plays host to thousands of visitors, most of them coming ashore for just a day in the busy main town, St John’s. Those who come to holiday in Antigua for longer, though, are rewarded with plenty of diversionsmore

I spent a glorious week on the island courtesy of British Airways Holidays. I stayed in a private villa at Galleon Beach close to English Harbour. The whole of the island is adorable & quite easy to get around. The capital, St John's, has something for everyone with shopping, local museums & the very famous cricket ground. It can get busy on certain days of the week when cruise liners dock there for the day. Take a trip on a pirate galleon complete with rum punch refreshments! Shirley Heights offers magnificent views across the whole island & is easily reachable. The beaches are fantastic with excellent watersports Tour Operator: British Airways Holidays
