Oranjestad
A pretty, Dutch colonial town with pastel-painted houses festooned with gabled roofs, Oranjestad is capital of the Caribbean island of Aruba, drawing thousands of visitors from cruise liners that call at its port, and those who fly in to the Queen Beatrix airport. The buzzing holiday town is packed with shops, casinos, restaurants, and livelymore bars, but for those who have the time and inclination, there are some interesting museums to explore too.
