We visited the Rhodopi Mountain region last summer and stayed in the village of Stoykte at Chalet St George. It is a fairly new five story building which is currently being upgraded to conform with European Union standards. The views from all the rooms are spectacular and it takes less than 10 minutes to the shops and a couple of bars. There is to be a ski lift that will link the village to Pamporovo which we were told would be completed by 2006. The walking in the region is fantastic and so are all the locals. We liked the area so much that we returned three weeks later and bought a small cottage. Tour Operator: Scheduled Flight
