CHENGDU HOLIDAY REVIEWS
Chengdu
Holiday in Sichuan - Jean S.. Date of travel: Sep 2006
Chengdu is one of many huge, polluted, well constructed Chinese cities. For the food lover they have very spicy tradition of cooking. My personal favorite is hot pot. A pot of boiling water with chillies and spices. Everyone shares the same soup to cook their vegetables and meat which is fetched with chopsticks. Visit the Jiuzhaigou National Park for mountains, waterfalls, crystal clear water pools, and bus battles. I would have been well equipped with a pair of elbow pads to help get on the buses. Totally worth spending 2 days there for the nature lover.
