The spiritually rich but suppressed region of Tibet in China should be visited with adequate funds and adequate time. Be sure to have all your papers in order and stick with a tour group. If you don't want do that then you must have time and stay out of Lhasa until you want to leave Tibet. Try to speak Tibetan for a richer experience. Don't miss Mount Kailash between March and October.
