The city of Kinshasa has a lot to offer the adventurous tourist. Now much safer, although you need a driver, the roads are not very good. The trip on the huge Congo River is a must to really experience the tropical beauty. Bonobos Ape Sanctuary is a lovely day trip. Restaurants are many and good food is in abundance, although expensive.
